What is Wiki?

A wiki is a site that can be edited by users collectively. Anyone can add, change, and arrange information using a web browser. Wikis allow quick dissemination of information and crowd-sourced documentation while preserving historical revisions. They can be used for everything from corporate intranet systems to public encyclopedias. Wikis foster collective intelligence and the continuous improvement of information.

Examples of wikis include community-maintained game strategy guides, Confluence for enterprise knowledge management, and the global encyclopedia Wikipedia.
