What is Web 2.0?

The transformation of the web into a more advanced platform for active participation that integrates content creation is referred to as Web 2.0. Unlike the old static Internet pages, Web 2.0 pages include a multitude of functions such as wikis, social networks, and interactive search windows, which utilize AJAX technology. This integration allows users to contribute and share without restrictions. Active connections empower communities to use the available opportunities for contribution and curations.

Some Web 2.0 Examples are Myspace’s social network with user-customized profiles, Reddit’s community-driven threads with user-created search results, and wiki-based encyclopedias with collaborative knowledge bases.
