What is Usability?
Usability evaluates how easy it is for users to move through your website and locate the information or tasks they need. It involves orderly layout, effective action items, proper typeface, and responsive design on all devices. Improving usability optimally removes friction, resulting in lower bounce rates and increased conversions, by streamlining user pathways through content and processes. Usability blockers can be identified and resolved using user testing, heuristic evaluations, and performance audits.
Some usability improvements would be ensuring key pages are concealed behind more complex menu structures, using breadcrumb navigation on deep content sections, and ensuring buttons have clear labels and are easy to tap.
