What is Heatmap?

A heatmap is a layer of data displayed on a webpage or an application illustrating the user’s interactions through clicking or scrolling in colors that depict different levels of engagement. Heat maps show where visitors focus their attention, helping to improve the layout’s content and usability issues vis-a-vis engagement prioritization. Through this analysis, calls to action are refined, and user experience is improved.

Common use cases involve click heatmaps, which depict盯 why certain buttons are popular, scroll heatmaps, which reveal the textual content’s reading depth, and attention heatmaps, which combine the two metrics.
