What is Google Panda Update?

The Google Panda Update is an algorithm update launched in 2011 aimed at reducing “thin” or low-quality pages and giving more importance to original content. It evaluates scroll depth, word count, and repetitive phrase usage, among many other factors. Although Panda 4.2 was rolled out in July 2015, its principles continue to be integrated into Google’s core ranking algorithms.

Examples of Panda remediation include expanding blog posts with rich examples and descriptions, eliminating or merging articles with repeating content, and enhancing user experience metrics to improve bounce rates.
