What is Geo-Targeting?

Sending digital advertisements to audiences using physical geo-locations is called geo-targeting. Users can be targeted based on IP, GPS data, or device settings. Advertisers can focus on the areas that matter most by pinpointing certain cities and regions or placing a radius around a particular landmark and excluding areas where conversion is less likely.

Excluding certain countries from geo-targeted advertising, tailoring ads to specific states or provinces, and targeting users within a 20 km radius of a store are all examples of geo-targeting.
