What Is CPC?

Cost Per Click (CPC) is a digital advertising model where advertisers pay only when someone clicks on their ad. It’s a pricing method commonly used in search ads, display ads, and social media advertising.

In a CPC campaign, you’re not paying for impressions or views—you’re charged for each individual click your ad receives.

This model is closely related to CTR (Click-Through Rate), since higher CTRs can often lead to lower CPCs in ad auctions, especially on platforms like Google Ads or Facebook Ads.

CPC is often used interchangeably with PPC (Pay-Per-Click), though CPC refers specifically to the cost per click, while PPC refers to the overall advertising model.
