Advocacy Marketing is a strategy where businesses encourage their happiest customers to promote the brand on their behalf. These brand advocates share their positive experiences through reviews, social media posts, referrals, or testimonials—often without being paid to do so.

It works on the principle that people trust recommendations from real users more than traditional advertising. Advocacy marketing is closely related to Word-of-Mouth Marketing and can also overlap with User-Generated Content (UGC), especially when customers actively post about a product or service online.
